Why We Cleanse Ourselves Of Sin
Don't you know that you are not your own? You were bought with a price. Not with the blood of bulls and rams but with the precious blood of Jesus. You have a new purpose in life; not to serve the flesh with its pride and lusts but to walk in the Spirit and provide Him a vessel, a temple, a theater of operation, through which He will accomplish His will to the praise of His glory. The freeing of other lives from the matrix of demonic delusion which imprisons their souls in the spiral of sin and death can only be accomplished through His Spirit and directed by His will, which unleashes His mighty power and brings this realm into alignment with the victory and peace of heaven.
When we sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Christ Jesus, who sits at the right hand of God and pleads our cause by the power of His shed blood which cleanses us from all sin and unrighteousness. If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart. When we seek cleansing from sin, it is not because we think "Oh; I am in trouble because of this sin." It is because the Master has need of this vessel, because He has every right to it, and because we seek to provide Him a proper and fitting place to dwell. "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Jesus has provided the way to cleanse this temple, and if it be cleansed, He will also sanctify it, and if it be sanctified, will He not also dwell therein?
