Tempted

When tempted, say "I am being tempted by the devil. But You, Lord, will provide the way of escape, and You will supply the crown of life to him who endures." It is not a sin to be tempted. Our Lord Jesus was sorely tempted of the devil, and He answered each time with "it is written..." and soundly defeated the tempter.

James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 2:18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
